Pottery Bowl With Polychrome Overgraze Painting, On the bottom,
under a dull blu8e glaze a horseman holds a falcon with four
gracefully sketched black birds in black foliage; on the side is a
red, green, black and while arabesque pattern. The rim has a Kufic
inscription expressing blessing and good wishes. Around the exterior
is another Kufic inscription. Ring foot, so-called Minai Ware Rey - Seljuk Earthy 13th C. Big Bellied Lusterware Pitcher, Gold luster decoration of Naskhi writing birds, and leaf patterns in reddish brown with touches of blue on a white glaze. Handle carries a braided design on its flat side and a small knob at the top. Narrow neck; low ring foot. Kashan luster style Gorgan Seljuk Earthy 13th C. White Marble Figure, Highly stylized, divided knob for breasts, peg head pierced from top to back Tappeh Hissar, III C. 2000-1700 B.C. |
